This candle holder is handmade from chamotte ceramic clay and decorated using the ancient technique of milk firing.

Milk firing is a traditional method used for centuries in Eastern Europe and parts of Central Asia, originally practiced to naturally seal ceramic surfaces and enhance their durability. In this process, a piece is heated and then coated with milk, which burns into the surface during firing, creating rich, warm brown tones and a soft matte finish.
